Christopher Scholtes, the Arizona father who pleaded guilty for the murder of his 2-year-old daughter after leaving her in a hot car, has passed away before his scheduled court appearance. Scholtes was supposed to appear for a hearing in Pima County Superior Court on November 5th to be taken into custody.
Prosecutors revealed that Scholtes was allegedly watching pornography and playing video games as his daughter, Parker, perished from heat exposure inside a sweltering car on a scorching 109-degree day last summer. The tragic incident occurred on July 9, 2024, in Marana, Arizona.
During a court hearing, it was disclosed that Scholtes, 37, left his 2-year-old daughter to nap in a hot car while he was inside the house watching X-rated videos. Prosecutors had sought to use this claim as evidence at Scholtes’s upcoming murder trial.
