GPT 5.1 Instant, described as ‘warmer’ and ‘more intelligent,’ is tailored for improved accuracy and better context understanding. On the other hand, GPT 5.1 Thinking is equipped to handle both simple and complex queries, providing fast or slow answers based on the context.
