The first phase of voting for the Bihar assembly polls has seen a historic turnout of 65.08%, surpassing the 2020 overall turnout of 57.29%. The total electorate size has increased to 7.42 crore, up from 7.36 crore in 2020, with 35 lakh more votes polled this year.
The second and final phase of the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 is set for November 11, covering the remaining 122 constituencies. Among these, 24 seats in the Muslim-majority Seemanchal region will be contested.
With 1,302 candidates vying for the 122 seats in Phase 2, high stakes are on for both the ruling NDA and the opposition INDIA bloc. The results of the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 will be declared on November 14.
The Bihar election campaign concluded ahead of the final phase of voting, with 122 seats set for polls on November 11. The electoral fate of over half a dozen ministers in the Nitish Kumar-led government will be decided by 3.7 crore voters.
