Delhi witnessed a tragic incident as a massive blast in a Hyundai i20 car near Red Fort Metro Station claimed the lives of at least 13 people and left 20 others injured on Monday evening. The explosion occurred at 6:52 pm, causing chaos and devastation in the bustling area.

Following the blast, Home Minister Amit Shah chaired a review meeting to assess the situation. The Delhi Police invoked the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) after forensic evidence and intelligence inputs hinted at possible terror links.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has taken over the case, with a high alert issued in Delhi. Earlier, the Jammu and Kashmir Police had discovered nearly 3,000 kg of explosives in Faridabad, raising concerns about security.

International support poured in as the UK, France, Italy, and other nations extended condolences to India. The US and France advised their citizens to remain vigilant and avoid crowded places in the aftermath of the blast.

Investigations revealed that a new CCTV clip showed a suspect staying in the car for three hours before the explosion, adding a layer of complexity to the case. The incident has not only claimed lives but also shaken the sense of security among Indians, according to reports from the ground.
