Disney has unveiled the first teaser trailer for ‘Toy Story 5,’ the latest installment in Pixar’s beloved series, set to hit screens on June 19, 2026. The trailer introduces a new high-tech adversary, Lilypad, a smart tablet, challenging Woody, Buzz, Jessie, and the gang.
The teaser showcases the toys facing off against Lilypad, described as a frog-shaped smart tablet that complicates their playtime. Greta Lee, known for ‘Past Lives’ and ‘Tron: Ares,’ lends her voice to this new character, promising a fresh dynamic for the iconic toys.
Veteran voice actors Tom Hanks and Tim Allen return to voice Woody and Buzz, joined by Joan Cusack as Jessie, Blake Clark as Slinky Dog, and Tony Hale as Forky. Co-directors Andrew Stanton and McKenna Harris aim to infuse the film with a ‘playfully antagonistic tone,’ setting the stage for an exciting clash between classic toys and cutting-edge technology.
