The open-world crime title will now be available on current-generation consoles on November 19, 2026.
Despite the setback, there is good news for PlayStation users as GTA 5 is set to return to the PS Plus library later this month. According to reliable leaker billbil-kun from Dealabs, GTA 5 will be added to the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium tiers starting November 18, 2025. However, players on the Essential tier will not have access to the title.
In a statement addressing the delay, Rockstar Games expressed regret over the extended timeline but emphasized the importance of ensuring the game meets the highest standards of quality. The company thanked fans for their patience and support during the prolonged wait for GTA 6.
