Pakistan’s Salman Ali Agha has reached new heights in his cricket career, showcasing a stellar performance in the recent ODI series against Sri Lanka. Agha’s match-winning 105 not out off 87 balls in the first ODI in Rawalpindi propelled him to his career-best ranking, climbing 14 places to 16th in the ICC Men’s ODI Batting Rankings.
Following a series of impressive scores, including 69 and five not out in previous matches, Agha’s outstanding form has not gone unnoticed. He played a crucial role in Pakistan’s victory, contributing significantly to the team’s success.
Salman Ali Agha’s innings-saving century against Sri Lanka broke Pakistan’s 927-day drought in Rawalpindi. His unbeaten 105 off 87 balls at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium was a testament to his skill and determination, guiding Pakistan to a total of 299 for five in the opening ODI of the series.
Additionally, Agha’s sublime century, coupled with Haris Rauf’s exceptional four-wicket spell, led Pakistan to a thrilling six-run victory over Sri Lanka in the first ODI. Despite a valiant effort from Sri Lanka, they were restricted to 293-9 in their 50 overs, falling short of the 300-run target set by Pakistan.
